The best recommendation is always word of mouth. If you really want to know what it’s like wearing a brace as an adult or a child then read what our patients, past and present, have to say.
“I’m so glad that I decided to go ahead with the treatment! Smiles provided a wonderful service and any reservations quickly disappeared after speaking with the orthodontist and nurses. Now I’m constantly smiling and showing off my teeth. I don’t have to worry about vetting photos and my confidence has grown immensely.” Kirsty (30)
It was something I had thought about for a long time but it was when I was looking at photos from a wonderful trip in Australia and I realised that I wasn’t really smiling in any of them, that I thought I had to do something.
My two front teeth protruded and had a gap…I used to hide my smile behind my hand.
Originally, I thought about it about ten years ago but although I had a consultation, I didn’t follow it through but once I had decided this time I was going to do it, I couldn’t wait to get started. I wanted to have a gorgeous smile for my 40th birthday!
Initially, I thought that it was going to be really intrusive and noticeable even though the treatment was actually invisible. I decided previously it was the wrong time to do it because I had just changed jobs but it’s not affected my job at all as no-one even notices you are wearing it!
The Invisalign brace took a little bit of getting used to but once I’d worked out the technique to getting it in and out, it was really easy. I found it much better to take the brace in and out to eat rather than to have to eat with brace wires you get on a fix brace. There’s a lot of teeth cleaning but you just get used to carrying your toothbrush and paste with you wherever you go!
The Invisalign treatment suited me and fitted well with a busy work and social lifestyle so if you are thinking about it then don’t wait ten years like me…it took only one year to give me a smile I’m very happy with.
