This is an update following on from the Prime Minister’s announcement at the weekend.
We will be remaining open and all appointments will continue as normal.
Patient and staff health and safety is our first priority. Our surgeries have always provided a clean and safe environment. With upgraded PPE and redesigned patient journey in line with social distancing we continue to offer the best possible treatment and care. We will continue to screen patients on arrival. Between all appointments, as always, the dental team will thoroughly disinfect the dental surgery, reducing the risk of exposure to anything harmful. We are booking appointments to ensure that the practice is not overcrowded. We do this by leaving suitable gaps between appointments so that patients can attend the practice whilst maintaining a suitable distance from one another in accordance with government guidelines and within the limitations of our premises.
On the Day of Your Appointment
- Please arrive for your appointment in good time
- Keep an eye on the weather forecast and come prepared with waterproofs and brollies. Unfortunately we are unable to provide shelter
- When you arrive please phone us on 07508 771495
- We will advise you when you can come to the front door
- If you arrive by foot or public transport please wait outside on the pavement
- Please wear a face mask or face covering when you come to the practice. A securely tied scarf that covers your nose and mouth is acceptable
- Patients aged under 18 attending for their first appointment or for review or record taking should have a parent or guardian with them who will also require a face covering
- We would encourage patients attending for routine adjustment of their fixed braces or routine retainer checks to come in on their own to limit the number of people within the surgery unless a parent or guardian is needed as a chaperone
- Do not bring any personal belongings with you
- Please wait on the pavement for the front door to be opened by our chaperone nurse
- Once you enter you will be invited to sanitise your hands and have your temperature taken with our contact free thermometer. If you have a temperature over 37.8 degrees Celsius we will reschedule your appointment for 14 days later in line with Public Health England guidance. The nurse will ask you about your current health
- If your temperature is normal you will be escorted into surgery. Remember we have always had the highest standards of cross infection control and hygiene but these additional measures are all for your safety and that of our staff
- At the end of your appointment you will be asked to replace your face covering, your next appointment will be made and you will then be escorted back to the front door
Additional Information
- Make sure to brush your teeth thoroughly before arriving as we do not have tooth brushing facilities or toilets available at this time
- If you wish to buy toothbrushes or other sundries please contact the practice prior to your appointment to order and pay over the phone. We will have your order ready for collection at the end of your appointment and this will help to minimise your time at the practice. (See over for prices)
